The only downside to the 372 is it's price and the fact it comes with plexiglass. It won't shatter or break but scratches easily. Luckily the 372 comes with a 2nd replacement plexiglass. The old crystal suddenly developed a "cloudy" ring around the edge of the crystal (looked more like super glue than moisture). I recently read that there is a version of the 372 that was released about last August with a sapphire crystal but then read that the Panerai catalog still says plexiglass. Does anyone know for sure if there is a 372-S Panerai? I love the big (47+) Panerais, especially the Radiomirs, but don't love the plexiglass crystals. I've tried to find a list of which are plexi but so f
They do give you a replacement crystal if the original is scratched beyond repair. I have knicked mine and easily buffed out the scuff with toothpaste. One was pretty severe and you can't see anything.
